Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house that has a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic cash flow will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to research in a general public click here university or TVET college in South Africa.
